Extraco Banks® Begins Construction on New Downtown Temple Branch

Extraco Banks® announced on June 23, 2023, it will begin construction on its new Downtown Temple branch on July 10, 2023. The 2,400 square foot branch will have video teller technology, four drive through lanes and an outdoor seating area between the new bank building and Treno Pizzeria.

Extraco Banks Selects Empower, Black Knight's High-Performance LOS, to Drive Growth in Digital Mortgage Operations

Black Knight, Inc. (NYSE:BKI) announced today that Extraco Banks, the largest and most comprehensive locally owned bank between Dallas and Austin, Texas, has signed a contract to implement the Empower loan origination system (LOS). The company selected Empower for its exceptional digital mortgage capabilities, and will also use Black Knight’s Surefire CRM and mortgage marketing engine to elevate the customer experience and to help create customers for life.

Extraco Banks® to Sell Downtown Temple Financial Center and Build New Branch

On June 30, 2022, Extraco Banks® closed on the sale of its downtown Temple financial center to Austin investors, Redeem Investments, who plans to renovate the 10-story building that makes up part of the iconic Temple skyline. Extraco will build a new financial center across the street where its current motor bank is located today.

Extraco Banks closed on land located at 3414 E. Main Street with the intention of building a new Gatesville branch, slated to open in 2023.

Now, I've been with Extraco Banks for nearly 19 years and have seen serving business owners throughout Central Texas area the entire time. Currently, I serve as the President of the Temple Rotary Club, Secretary of the Temple Rotary Club Foundation, board member of the Temple Education Foundation, the Temple Police Advisory Commission, the Killeen Police Department Law Enforcement Assistance Fund. Beyond my professional and services commitments, I am also an avid golfer and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In my free time I enjoy playing in golf tournaments around the area and spending time with my family.

I'm John Bush, a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, and I've been a resident of Bryan/College Station since 1986. With almost three decades of experience in commercial banking, I am deeply engaged in our local community. Currently, I hold leadership positions with Junior Achievement of the Brazos Valley, the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley, and actively contribute to several other civic and charitable organizations.
