Since the 1950s, The Last Drive-in Picture Show has attracted car loads of movie lovers for big screen adventures under the stars. But this isn't the only thing Gatesville has to offer its residents. With a population of less than 15,000, the city attracts visitors with a variety of festivals, parades, and bicycle tours that provide entertainment year-round. The 8.9 square mile city is surrounded by a number of other small towns including Fort Gates, Turnersville, and Jonesboro.
