Is my debit card number or other information being shared with Apple?
Answer

To deliver you the best Apple Pay experience, we will display certain account information on your device, such as data for your recent purchases, for each Card you have selected to use with Apple Pay, but not your full account information. At any time, you can turn off the display of transaction data manually within Apple Pay by adjusting the “Card Notifications” for each Card. We will never share your plastic Card number with Apple. If you have any additional questions about your device’s security features, please contact Apple directly.

How secure is an Apple Pay® transaction?
Answer

Your Extraco Banks Discover Debit Card in Apple Pay is protected by “Touch ID”, "Face ID" and/or your device “Passcode.” For your security, when you make a purchase using Apple Pay, you must either use “Touch ID”, "Face ID" or the “Passcode” for your device. All of your payment information will be encrypted in the Secure Element, a dedicated chip in your device.

Is Apple Pay safe and secure for making payments? How does Extraco Banks help protect me against fraud?
Answer

The safety and security of your account information are of the highest importance. As a security measure, you may receive a “verification required” message when adding your card to Apple Pay. Once verified, an on-screen message will appear stating that the card is ready for use. This verification is part of our multi-layered approach to security in payments.

Additionally, when we review mobile wallet providers we look for payment safety, quality of service, and ease of use for our customers. When you make payments with Apple Pay and your Extraco Banks card:

• Your full card number is not shown to the merchant or to Apple Pay
• All transactions are monitored by Extraco Fraud Alerts and fraud detection systems
• Purchases made using Apple Pay are protected by Zero Liability, so you won’t be held responsible for promptly reported unauthorized transactions.

How can I add my card to Apple Pay®?
Answer
You can add your card in a few easy steps. The process for adding a card is a little different between your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus or newer

• Open Wallet and tap the plus sign
• Position your card in the camera frame to automatically enter your card information. Enter the security code found on the back of your card, and fill in any remaining fields

iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3 or newer

• Go into Settings and tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
• Tap Add Credit or Debit Card.
• Position your card in the camera frame to automatically enter your card information. Enter the security code found on the back of your card, and fill in any remaining fields.

When adding your card, you can choose to add the card you already have on file with iTunes or add new cards by manually entering your card information or taking a picture of your card. You will always need to enter your Security Code and accept the Extraco Banks Terms of Use for Apple Pay each time you add a card to Apple Pay. You are also subject to Apple’s own terms & conditions.

If requested, follow additional steps to verify your card. After you confirm your Extraco Banks card has been added to your mobile device, you’re ready to use it in Apple Pay.

How do I set my Extraco Banks debit card as my default card for Apple Pay?
Answer

Setting your Extraco Banks card as your default is simple, and you only need to do it once. Go to Settings, Wallet & Apple Pay and tap Default Card selection. Choose your Extraco Banks card as your default. Note the first card you add to Apple Pay will automatically be your default card, but you can update it at any time.

Once I add my debit card to Apple Pay, how can I suspend the ability to make payments or remove Cards from my device?
Answer

To remove your Debit Card on iPhone 6 or later, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 or later, select “Remove Card” in the “Wallet & Apple Pay” section of your device “Settings” or on the back of your Card in the Wallet app.

To remove your Debit Card on Apple Watch, go to “Wallet” on your Apple Watch device, select your Debit Card then hold and tap “Delete” to remove your Debit Card. Additionally, you can remove your Debit Card using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Open the Apple Watch app, select “Wallet & Apple Pay”, then select your Debit Card and navigate to the bottom and tap “Remove Card.”

You can also visit icloud.com/settings to remove your Debit Card or Find My iPhone to temporarily suspend or permanently remove the ability to pay with your Cards on your device.

How do I get a refund for something I purchased with Apple Pay?
Answer

If you need to make a return for a purchase made with Apple Pay, you can receive refunds to your account. The key difference is that you may be asked to provide to the cashier the last four digits of your Device Account Number instead of the last few digits of your card number. To find the last four digits of your Device Account Number for your Card, visit the “Wallet & Apple Pay” section of your device “Settings” or on the back of your card in the Wallet app.

Where can I view and manage my Card in Apple Pay®?
Answer

For iPhone 6 or later, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 or later, you can view and manage your cards in Apple Pay by going to “Settings” and selecting “Wallet & Apple Pay.” By tapping on an individual card, you can view the “Transaction Display” and manage the settings associated with that card in Apple Pay.

For iPhone 6 or later, you can also view and manage your cards in the Wallet app. When you select an individual card, you can tap the “i” to get to the back of the card, where you can view the “Transaction Display” and manage the settings associated with that card in Apple Pay.

For Apple Watch, you can view and manage your cards on Apple Watch within the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Simply tap on an individual card to manage the settings associated with that card in Apple Pay. The Apple Watch app will not display transaction detail or transaction history.

I’m getting notifications for my Card in Apple Pay on my device. What are these notifications and how can I turn them on/off?
Answer

You will receive “Card Notifications” for your Extraco Banks Cards in Apple Pay on iPhone and iPad letting you know about purchases made with your debit card and purchases made in Apple Pay. You can turn your notifications on or off by adjusting the “Card Notifications” settings for each card within the “Wallet & Apple Pay” section of your device “Settings.” Please keep in mind that by turning off your “Card Notifications,” you will no longer receive transaction notifications or other special messages from Extraco Banks on the front of your card, and you will no longer see your transaction history on the back of your card in Apple Pay.

You will not receive specific “Card Notifications” for cards added to Apple Pay for your Apple Watch. You may receive notifications on your Apple Watch if you have a card added to Apple Pay on your paired iPhone and have push notifications enabled.

If you do not want to receive these notifications on your Apple Watch, visit the notifications section under “General Settings” in the Apple Watch app on your supported device and unselect “Wallet & Apple Pay.”

What are the transactions listed with my card in Apple Pay?
Answer

Extraco Banks has enabled customers to see the last 10 purchases in the “Transaction Display” of their card in Apple Pay on iPhone or iPad. The “Transaction Display” will show the last 10 purchases you’ve made with both your plastic debit card and Mobile Wallet card. You can turn “Transaction Display” off when you turn off your “Card Notifications” in the “Wallet & Apple Pay” section of your device “Settings.”

Why is the information shown in Apple Pay different from my Extraco Banks online statement?
Answer

Apple Pay will only include your last 10 purchases. Please note that some of the listed transactions may be pending charges, which are temporary and are subject to change (for instance, pre-authorizations at restaurants and hotels). For all official statement information, please refer to your Extraco Banks Online account information either on www.extracobanks.com or in the Extraco Banks Mobile app.

If you suspect that there has been fraudulent activity on your account, please contact Extraco Banks Customer Care at 1.866.398.7226.

What if my Extraco Banks card saved in Apple Pay is lost or stolen?
Answer

Please call Extraco Banks immediately. We will turn off your card so that no more purchases can be made. You should also remove the lost or stolen card from Wallet or the Apple Watch app using the “Remove Card” option. When you receive your replacement card, you will need to add the new card to Apple Pay before making any Apple Pay purchases.

My device is lost or was stolen and I want to delete my card off of Apple Pay. What should I do?
Answer

If your device has been lost, stolen or compromised in any way, call Extraco Banks Customer Care immediately at 1.866.398.7226.

For iPhone or iPad, you can go to the Find My iPhone app to temporarily suspend or permanently remove the ability to make payments from your device, even if your device is offline. If you suspend your card(s) using Find My iPhone, you can reactivate your card(s) simply by unlocking your device and entering your Apple ID "Passcode" when prompted. For any supported Apple device, you can always go to icloud.com/settings, choose the applicable device and delete your card(s).
