April 8, Solar Eclipse Event

On April 8, residents of central Texas have a direct view of the remarkable solar eclipse. The solar eclipse is a once-in-a-lifetime event, where the moon passes in front of the sun, creating a shadow.

To enhance the viewing experience, we are pleased to provide Extraco-branded glasses, ensuring a safe and unobstructed observation of this mesmerizing cosmic display. Wear your Extraco-branded glasses, and let's collectively appreciate the magic of the solar eclipse!

In anticipation of heavy traffic and a potential rise in fraud attempts, our lobbies will remain closed throughout April 8th. However, our Downtown Temple location will be open, closing briefly from 12 - 2 p.m. Drive-thrus will continue to operate as usual.

To best prepare for the increase in visitors:

Complete all wires and any additional banking needs the week before the eclipse to avoid any possible delays.
Expect connectivity issues because of increased traffic on the cell phone network on the following platforms: Phone24 banking, call center, online banking access codes, ATMs, and Extra Bankers.
Act with caution as mass events can lead to increased fraud attempts.
Be sure to visit gas stations, grocery stores, etc. before the event.
