The Importance of Fraud Alerts

Extraco representatives constantly monitor your account for fraudulent activity. When our representatives identify a transaction that may be fraud, we will reach out to you and verify you made that transaction. Based on your usual account activity, we may block the use of your card until we can confirm the transaction with you. Traveling in the near future?  Call our Call Center and let us know your travel destination and how long you’ll be traveling as it can reduce the likelihood of triggering a fraud alert. 

We will always use two forms of notification when we contact you regarding potential fraudulent activity: text message, email or phone call. Text EXTRACO to 47334 to sign up for text alerts. Once you sign up for text alerts, we'll send you an email and text to confirm the transaction. If you don’t sign up for text messages, we’ll contact you via email and phone call. To make sure your contact information is up-to-date, log into your online banking and select the “settings” tab.

Extraco Alerts offers notification of potential bank account fraud based on transactions and trends. You can opt-in to receive these alerts online, and enrollment requires providing a mobile phone number. Users will receive alerts as suspicious activity is identified. Message & data rates may apply. You may opt out of this program at any time.

Questions: You can contact us at 1-866-398-7226, or at any time from your mobile phone, text "HELP" to 47334.

To Stop The Program: To stop the messages coming to your phone, you can opt out of the program via SMS. Just text the word "STOP" to 47334 You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. After that, you will receive no future messages.


Message and Data Rates May Apply. For help or information on this program send "HELP" to 47334. To cancel your plan, send "STOP" to 47334 at anytime.
