You may visit our Website and obtain information about us and our services without providing any personal information to us. We may retain non-personal information about visitors to our Website such as username, the date and time of your visit and the city and state from which the visit occurred. Such non-identifying information will be used for statistical purposes to help determine the level and geographical distribution of interest in our Website, and to identify users who have previously visited our Website. Personal information may be required to enable certain services and information to be made electronically available to you. Your E-mail address may be retained in order to enable us to better communicate with you. You should safeguard your accounts. Electronic banking is a convenient and safe way for conducting your financial transactions with us. The advantages of electronic banking are made possible through the use of access codes, personal identification numbers (PIN's), user names and passwords that allow online access to your accounts. To protect your money and your financial privacy, keep your codes and other access devices and names secret and guard them against being obtained and used by unauthorized persons. Providing to others your access codes, PINs, user names, passwords or any other information that allows access to your accounts and financial information, may expose your accounts to fraud, the risk of theft of your money, and the compromise of your financial privacy. Permitting others access to these and other access codes may establish your responsibility for their unauthorized use or misuse and result in your liability for any loss of funds from your accounts. You should review the terms and conditions of your account agreements and immediately report any unauthorized activity to us.
Our Website is not directed to children less than 13 years of age and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we have actual knowledge of receiving unsolicited personal information from a child through our "Contact us" button, other Website portal or avenue, or via E-Mail we will take one of two actions: (a) we may collect a child's name and contact information for the purpose of responding one time to the child and will then immediately delete the information; or (b) we may immediately delete the information entirely without responding.

Educating yourself is the best way to protect your personal information. These websites contain concise and authoritative information on consumer education, identity theft / fraud prevention, and reporting identity theft / fraud.
http://www.fdic.gov/consumers/index.html http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/index.shtmlYou may think identity theft and fraud are the same thing, but actually they are separate, but equally serious, crimes.
Identity fraud is a single attempt to steal money from an account, i.e. someone charges a purchase to your credit or debit card without your knowledge or consent.
Identity theft is when someone steals your personal information-such as your driver's license or social security number-and uses that information to open new accounts or initiate purchases in your name without your knowledge or consent.
Now that you know the difference between identity theft and fraud, learn how to prevent becoming a victim. Check out the FDIC and Federal Trade Commission websites for useful tips.

FDIC Email Phishing Alert
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has become aware of e-mails appearing to be sent from the FDIC that are asking recipients to download and open a "personal FDIC insurance file" to check their deposit insurance coverage. These e-mails are fraudulent and were not sent by the FDIC. The FDIC is attempting to identify the source of the e-mails and disrupt the transmission.
The e-mails ask recipients to "visit the official FDIC website" by clicking on a hyperlink provided, which appears to be related to the FDIC and directs recipients to a fraudulent Web site. The Web site includes hyperlinks that appear to open forms. However, it is believed that clicking on the hyperlinks will cause an unknown executable file to be downloaded.
While the FDIC is working with the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) to determine the exact effects of the executable file, recipients should consider the intent of the software as a malicious attempt to collect personal or confidential information, some of which may be used to gain unauthorized access to online banking services or to conduct identity theft. Financial institutions and consumers should NOT access the Web site or download the executable files provided on the Web site.
