EXTRACO EXPANDS TECHNOLOGY SERVICES DIVISION

September 23, 2002 - WACO, TEXAS: James Geeslin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Extraco Financial Group, announced today the expansion of Extraco's technology services division through acquisition of Computer Access of Waco.

Established in late 2001, Extraco Technology is dedicated to helping Extraco customers compete in an electronic marketplace. The Computer Access purchase solidifies Extraco Technology as a complete, in-house, fully staffed entity of Extraco Corporation.

Andy Sheehy, former owner of Computer Access, assumes the role of Senior Vice President and Technology Executive. Sheehy joins Steve Shearer, Senior Vice President and Technology Consultant, in leadership of the newly-expanded division. "We're thrilled to have the additional expertise Andy Sheehy offers. He's built a great team over the past few years, and we're proud they're part of the Extraco family," said Geeslin.

Among the many services the technology group will offer are: start-up and development for emerging businesses, upgrade assistance, ACH/Treasury Management, network design, security and data systems design, disaster and data-recovery planning, and communications management.

Now we can also help customers gain Internet access, maintain electronic communication systems, and utilize new forms of technological advances," said Sheehy. Extraco Technology will operate from the former Computer Access headquarters at 1802 Austin Avenue, Suite 12, in Waco.
